Maine Bike Crash Attorneys
KRZ’s Bike Law Practice is led by Lauri Boxer-Macomber, an avid rider, a leader in the field of bicycle advocacy and an experienced litigator and personal injury attorney. Lauri understands that bicycle crashes are not bicycle accidents. She regularly represents racers, commuters, recreational riders, triathletes, new Mainers and families of bicyclists, pedestrians and others who have been injured or lost their lives because of negligent motorists, dangerous infrastructure and/or unsafe road conditions.
Lauri is a proud member of Bike Law USA, a national network of independent bicycle lawyers and law firms who share a common approach to the law and are dedicated to helping cyclists. Lauri also served nine years on Board of Directors for the Bicycle Coalition of Maine, chaired the Coalition’s Policy and Legislation Committee, and helped to facilitate the Coalition’s Law Enforcement Collaborative. She is also member of the American League of Bicyclists, a supporter of the Portland Gear Hub, and a member and regular user of Portland Trails.
Other KRZ trial attorneys supporting the firm’s bike law practice include Tim Norton, a corporate and land use attorney, and Barry Zimmerman, an estate planning and probate law practitioner. Tim assists bicycle-related businesses and non-profits with their corporate matters and is a resource often tapped into during litigation. Barry is available to assist with the probate aspects of wrongful death cases of our bike law cases and future estate planning for our bike law clients. Stephen Koerting, who serves on the MTLA Board of Governors with Lauri and regularly represents victims of traffic trauma across the States of Maine and Massachusetts, is also part of the Bike Law group at KRZ and regularly has active bike law cases.
Our attorneys’ combined riding experience and legal experience in personal injury, insurance, employment, business and health care law allows us to take a comprehensive approach to our clients’ cases and handle many of the complex issues that often arise in bike law cases. This is why other attorneys often refer their bike crash cases to KRZ’s Bike Law Practice.
