On March 21, 2012, Terry Duddy and Tim Steigelman presented the session on Advanced Law to the Maine Harbormasters. Topics included state harbor law, federal admiralty law, municipal liability, and the rules for safe navigation.
Harbormasters are municipal officials who administer their local harbors, regulate mooring, and coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies to ensure unobstructed navigation in Maine’s harbors. The State of Maine Harbormasters Association is comprised of over 200 harbormasters and deputy harbormasters from throughout the state.
