Estate Planning & Probate

KRZ attorneys have been counseling clients in estate and succession planning, as well as representing our clients' interests in Probate Court, for many years.

We guide our clients through the estate planning process by providing them with proactive, practical advice with respect to passing tangible and intangible assets to their spouses, partners, children, grandchildren, and others. Not only do we strive to assist our clients with developing and implementing plans that reduce the impact of federal and state estate taxes, but we are trained to recognize and address the whole panapoly of issues raised by the transfer of assets from one generation to the next. Among the services offered by our law firm are the preparation of wills, trusts and lifetime gifts, powers of attorney, advanced health care directives, and other specialized trusts.

KRZ attorneys also regularly assist clients with filings and litigation in the Probate Court. For example, we appear in Probate Court on behalf of clients who have been appointed Personal Representatives or Trustees to ensure that the decedent's estate planning is properly carried forth as intended. Also, KRZ attorneys represent U.S. citizens and immigration clients in guardianship proceedings, termination of parental rights proceedings, will contests, and similar controversies.
