Emily Atkins

Emily is an associate at KRZ. She focuses her practice on commercial, real estate, and business matters. Emily, a native of Maine, earned her B.A. in philosophy from Boston College in 2011. During her time in Boston, she worked for Samaritans, a non-profit providing suicide prevention services. After college, she served in the Peace Corps as a health education teacher in Moldova.

In 2016, Emily received her J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law graduating magna cum laude. During law school she was an articles editor on the Maine Law Review, a student member of the Edward Thaxter Gignoux Inn of Court, and held a fellowship with the Portland District Court. In addition to completing an externship with the Appellate Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Emily was a student attorney for the Refugee and Human Rights Clinic as well as the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office.
